Award-winning Atlanta chef and restaurateur to lead culinary program at boutique hotel in Town at Trilith

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. (June 4, 2026) – Trilith Guesthouse has named Chef Jay Swift as Executive Chef, bringing one of Atlanta’s most accomplished culinary leaders to helm its food and beverage program. Swift will oversee all dining operations at the design-forward boutique hotel in Town at Trilith, including Prologue Dining & Drinks, Oliver’s Twist Bar & View, in-room dining and private event catering.

“Chef Swift understands how to create food that resonates,” said James Green III, General Manager of Trilith Guesthouse. “His depth of experience and leadership will elevate every aspect of our dining program, from rooftop cocktails to private events.”

An award-winning chef and restaurateur with more than three decades of experience, Swift’s career spans acclaimed independent restaurants, destination dining concepts and luxury hospitality environments. A Baltimore native, he graduated first in his class from the American Culinary Federation Apprenticeship Program, training under Certified Master Chef Rudy Speckamp. His early career included kitchens in Washington, D.C., Boston, New York and Baltimore before relocating to Atlanta, where he rose to prominence leading the culinary program at South City Kitchen.

Swift later opened 4th & Swift in the city’s Old Fourth Ward, a fine-dining concept widely recognized for its seasonal, market-driven cuisine and refined modern American approach. The restaurant earned both local and national acclaim and contributed to the neighborhood’s emergence as a premier dining district.

“Being part of this this burgeoning community and this beautiful space is incredibly rewarding,” said Chef Swift. “This space fosters creativity, connection and the opportunity to craft exceptional culinary experiences.”

Throughout his career, Swift has launched and led multiple successful concepts, including the coastal-inspired Noble Fin, and has held executive chef roles at respected Atlanta establishments such as The Iberian Pig and TWO urban licks along the Atlanta Beltline.

Receiving two invitations to cook at the James Beard House in New York City, his work has garnered significant industry honors, including being named Restaurateur of the Year by the Georgia Restaurant Association, an honor reserved for chefs shaping the national culinary conversation.

Known for an ingredient-driven philosophy and disciplined execution, Swift blends technical precision with approachable hospitality. His menus emphasize seasonal sourcing, layered flavors and thoughtful presentation while maintaining operational strength across high-volume hospitality environments.

At Trilith Guesthouse, Swift will guide menu development, mentor culinary teams and shape the continued evolution of the hotel’s dining experiences. Guests can expect refined seasonal menus, elevated rooftop offerings and chef-driven experiences designed to welcome both visitors and the local community. His arrival coincides with expanded experiential programming, including the recently launched Tableside Knob Creek Old-Fashioned Experience, an interactive cocktail presentation allowing guests to select their preferred Knob Creek expression, sugar format and seasonal accents. Additional chef-led activations and limited-time menus will debut in the months ahead, positioning the hotel’s dining program as an extension of the design-forward, story-driven environment that defines Town at Trilith in Fayetteville, inside of metro Atlanta’s southside corridor.
